Snippi.net, my personal project went live

I’m happy to announce that my personal project I was planning for some time now, is finally live.

Snippi – MAGENTO CODE SNIPPETS.

It is a Magento related website for sharing Magento code snippets.

I realize there are already dozens of sites related to snippets and code sharing, but hey why not make one specially for Magento related development. Site is built on Drupal CMS. There are still lot of “styling” left to do, but the site is usable. Hope you don’t find the site too ugly, I designed it :) .

What makes these code snippets special is that little drop down field next to each snippet entry where you mark down the version of Magento for which snippet has been tested for. Although I still haven’t implemented search functionality based on this, its under way. OK, I admit, this is not so special :) -Anyhow, I just though it would be nice to have a place on web for Magento code snippets.

Hopefully this will in some situations where you find yourself with broken Magento code for some reason.

Of course it’s special! Finding good quality and relevant Magento resources (without missioning through the official forums) – is difficult! Not to mention the Magento ‘extensions’ problem. There are virtually no ‘standalone’ and free extensions out there… up until now. Just want to say that you guys rock! Thank you Branko
PS: Activecodeline and Inchoo have been incredibly awesome at providing relevant, real world information – somehow finding the time in their hectic schedules to give back and help build the community. You have made my journey with Magento a much less painful one… So don’t knock yourselves, you guys are awesome!

Thank you very much for this comment. We’re always glad we can help somebody since learning Magento can be a real struggle sometimes. Have a good day.
